Summary
Corsair’s 2024 flagship wireless gaming headset for PC and PlayStation, with 50 mm graphene drivers, dual 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth wireless, active noise cancellation, a detachable microphone and up to 60 hours of battery. It is heavy at around 430 g and only sounds right after EQ tuning in iCUE, so try the fit and budget for PC software before you buy.
Strengths
- The detachable microphone is the standout: reviewers rate it clear, sturdy and broadcast-grade.
- Dual 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth run at the same time, each with its own volume wheel.
- Active noise cancellation is effective, silencing low-frequency noise like fan hum or a television upstairs.
- Up to 60 hours of battery, and reviewers confirmed it held up through several long sessions.
- A sturdy aluminum build with brushed-metal joints and a fitted carrying case.
- Corsair sells spare ear pads, microphone, cables, pouch and dongles for it.
Weaknesses
- It weighs about 430 g on a rigid frame, and reviewers report head pressure and constant readjustment.
- The ear cushions are shallow, firm and warm, which reviewers call less comfortable than rivals.
- Getting good sound needs iCUE EQ or SoundID tuning; stock tuning draws criticism of harsh highs and hollow bass.
- There is no mobile app, and on consoles without iCUE reviewers say it sounds worse.
- The USB-C port is charging-only, so the headset cannot be used wired and has no 3.5 mm jack.
- One owner reported muddy, distorted sound after about 3 months, though that is a single report.

Sound, ANC and software
Independent reviewers broadly agree: strong sound once tuned, an excellent microphone, effective noise cancellation and long battery, all tied to PC software. PC Gamer scored it 74 and called the microphone clear and unwavering, with neutral sound that needs EQ and comparatively weak bass. GamingTrend scored it 75 and praised the ANC and battery, but noted the microphone peaks easily and reported sporadic PC audio lag that a firmware update mostly fixed. Pokde scored it 8.2/10 and called the highs harsh without tuning. TheSixthAxis scored it 8/10, calling the wireless audio rich and detailed but the cushions firm and the fit heavy. Mercury News scored it 3/4 and found iCUE barebones, with Dolby Access unlocking the better profiles.
Tuning matters, because the headset leans on iCUE for EQ and SoundID. Reviewers say it sounds worse out of the box, especially on consoles where iCUE is unavailable, and there is no iOS or Android companion app. The transparency mode is workable but not as clear as the ANC, and Corsair uses a subtle tone rather than a spoken cue to switch between them.
Battery, wireless and comfort
Corsair rates the battery at up to 60 hours with RGB off, and off-head auto-shutoff stretches that further. Fast charging tops up roughly 6 hours of play in 15 minutes. The 2.4 GHz dongle and Bluetooth run simultaneously, which is a real convenience for mixing game audio and a phone call. The standard model works on PC and PlayStation through the dongle; the Xbox version is a separate product with its own dongle and on-ear chat controls. Bluetooth is a step down from the dongle and supports only SBC and AAC.
The trade-off is the frame. At about 430 g it is one of the larger headsets reviewers tested, and the rigid, shallow cushions draw the same comfort complaints across PC Gamer, GamingTrend, TheSixthAxis and Mercury News. The headband padding is gentler than the ear pads and holds up over long sessions.
Repairs, parts and running costs
Corsair backs the headset with a 2-year warranty. It sells dedicated spare parts, including ear pads in black or white, the boom mic, a storage pouch, the charging cable and both the standard and Xbox dongles. The ear pads and microphone are detachable and user-replaceable. Firmware updates are applied through iCUE on a Windows PC, so a Windows machine is effectively required to keep it current.
Price and value
Reviewers put it at around $330 in the US and £279 in the UK during 2024–2025, and repeatedly flagged that as expensive. PC Gamer noted it sits at the same price as the Audeze Maxwell, and Mercury News found the tag hard to justify against the software and comfort issues, while Pokde and TheSixthAxis rated it well against the premium field. An owner reported paying $279.99 on sale from a $329.99 list, and at sale prices near $279 the case looks stronger.
