Summary
A 23.8-inch 1080p IPS monitor with a 144 Hz refresh rate, built for entry-level gaming and everyday use. Check your video outputs before you buy: the SE2426H has two HDMI 1.4 ports and no DisplayPort.
Strengths
- 144 Hz refresh rate with AMD FreeSync for entry-level gaming.
- 1 ms MPRT and 4 ms GTG (Fast) response times are quick for a budget panel.
- Thin 5.80 mm bezels on the top and sides.
- VESA 100 × 100 mm mounting allows an aftermarket arm.
- An HDMI cable is included, so nothing extra is needed to connect a PC.
Weaknesses
- Connectivity is 2 × HDMI 1.4 only — no DisplayPort, USB, headphone-out or built-in speakers.
- The stand tilts from -5° to 21°; there is no height, swivel or pivot adjustment.
- The 1 ms figure is MPRT only; native GTG is 4 ms (Fast) or 8 ms (Normal).
- HDMI 1.4 carries 1080p144 only with 4:2:0 or reduced blanking, so verify GPU compatibility.
- Color covers 72% NTSC; the ≈99% sRGB equivalent is not confirmed for this model.
- No independent tests or owner reports exist yet, so reliability is unverified.

Connectivity
Two HDMI 1.4 ports are all this monitor offers — no DisplayPort, no USB, no headphone-out and no built-in speakers. Dell rates the ports for 1920 × 1080 at 144 Hz as specified in HDMI 1.4, and that bandwidth is enough for 1080p144 with 4:2:0 or reduced blanking. Dell’s spec sheet says to verify GPU compatibility, so check your graphics card’s outputs before you buy.
Stand and mounting
The stand tilts from -5° to 21° and nothing else — no height, swivel or pivot adjustment. VESA 100 × 100 mm mounting is supported, and an aftermarket arm addresses the ergonomic limits of a tilt-only stand.
Picture quality
The 23.8-inch IPS panel runs 1920 × 1080 at 144 Hz with 300 cd/m² brightness, 1,000:1 contrast and 178°/178° viewing angles. Response is 1 ms MPRT, 4 ms GTG in Fast mode and 8 ms GTG in Normal. Color covers 72% NTSC (CIE 1931); the often-quoted ≈99% sRGB figure is not confirmed for this model. Pixel pitch is 0.2745 mm, or 93 PPI.
Is it worth it?
Dell Canada lists the SE2426H at CAD $119.99, a CAD $20.00 discount, and Dell Malaysia at RM 408.99. US pricing could not be verified at research time, so check Dell’s US store before you buy. At CAD $120 it is positioned as an entry-level option in the 23.8-inch 1080p 144 Hz IPS segment. If you need DisplayPort or USB-C, consider alternatives such as the 240 Hz SE2426HG or other brands. Value depends on the final US street price against competitors with DisplayPort and better stands.
