Summary
Divoom Ditoo-Pro is a retro-styled desk speaker with a 16×16 pixel-art LED display, mechanical keys and a joystick, built for visual personality rather than serious audio. Check your budget before you buy: at $80 or less it works as a desk novelty, while above that conventional Bluetooth speakers sound better.
Strengths
- The retro-computer design and pixel display make it a distinctive, gift-worthy desk piece.
- Sound is surprisingly good for the size, with bass that works for near-field listening.
- The alarm is loud enough to wake you, and the white-noise and Pomodoro tools add desk utility.
- The Divoom app’s pixel-art community and customization reward owners who like to tinker.
- Bluetooth 5.0 keeps it compatible with modern phones.
- The built-in FM radio, games and voice memo go well beyond a plain speaker.
Weaknesses
- No instrumented test of the exact Ditoo-Pro exists, so the 15W and 30 Hz–20 kHz figures are manufacturer claims.
- Sound can degrade over time: one owner reports it worsening after about three years.
- Battery failures are a recurring owner report, and Divoom says the battery is not user-replaceable.
- Owners report Bluetooth disconnects, neighbours connecting without permission and app freezes that need a hard reset.
- It is not water-resistant and has no 3.5 mm audio input.
- The app wants an account for community content, which some owners saw as a barrier.

Sound and what it’s for
The 15W driver is tuned for close listening on a desk. Reviews of the original Ditoo found the sound “pretty good” for casual use and well suited to small and medium rooms at about half volume; at full volume it peaks unpleasantly. Nobody has published an instrumented test of the Pro, so treat the wattage and frequency figures as manufacturer claims rather than measured results. It is a display piece that happens to play music, not a hi-fi speaker, and it is not built for outdoor or party use. Divoom’s own editorial reviews call it a better desk companion than a portable speaker, with “satisfying” sound for close listening — manufacturer positioning, not independent testing.
Battery, charging and upkeep
The 5000 mAh battery is rated for up to 8 hours, but that drops with volume, display brightness and animation use; Divoom’s own review says the unit is “happiest left connected at the desk”. A full charge takes about four hours over USB-C, and Divoom warns that some USB-C-to-USB-C cables will not charge it at all — use the supplied USB-A-to-USB-C cable. Charging while playing can raise the battery temperature and trip internal protection, which stops the charge. The battery is sealed; Divoom directs replacement questions to support rather than offering a user swap.
The app, account and reliability
The Divoom app is where custom pixel art, weather, notifications and deeper settings live, and full features need an account. The default clock and Bluetooth playback work without one, but the community, saving designs and multi-device management do not. Some owners name the sign-up as a barrier. The 16×16 grid is intentionally low-resolution — no photographs — and the flicker can bother people sensitive to it.
These are individual owner reports, not a defect rate: sound that fades after a few years, batteries that go dead or stop taking a charge, a speaker that froze after an app connection and recovered only after a full discharge, and neighbours connecting over Bluetooth despite PIN settings. Divoom documents a reset pinhole on the bottom of the Ditoo-Pro — a paperclip for five seconds, then a ten-second hold on the power button. A third-party teardown shows the unit can be opened for battery or charging repair, but the case is sealed and Divoom sells no user-serviceable parts. Divoom’s US page lists a 12+6 month warranty (18 months); a Hong Kong distributor states one year, so confirm the terms at checkout.
Is it worth it?
Value here comes from the look, not the sound. Under $80 (Divoom’s 2026-10-10 sale lists it at $79.99, down from $99.99) it is a reasonable desk novelty with useful built-ins; from roughly $81 to $100 it is fair; above $125 the audio no longer justifies the price next to conventional Bluetooth speakers. There are no recurring costs beyond charging the battery — the app is free and no subscription is required.
Which model this is
This page covers the Ditoo-Pro, the revision with mechanical keys, a joystick, 15W output, a 5000 mAh battery and USB-C charging. Don’t confuse it with the original Ditoo — 10W, 3000 mAh, microUSB and a 45mm driver — or with the DitooMic karaoke variant. The US Amazon listing is ASIN B07YWWPV7L.
