Summary
A compact retro-styled Bluetooth speaker with a pixel-art photo display, FM radio, alarm, white noise, Pomodoro timer and games, built as a desk or bedside companion. Check that you want it for the display and features, not for room-filling sound: the 5 W driver is meant for close listening.
Strengths
- The retro TV styling and the pixel-art display are the main draw.
- Compact and lightweight, so it sits neatly on a desk, shelf or nightstand.
- The FM radio pulls in stations reliably with its telescoping antenna.
- It plays MP3, FLAC, WAV, AAC, M4A, WMA and AIF from a TF card.
- The Divoom app offers deep pixel-art customization and community content.
- White noise and alarm functions make it practical at the bedside.
Weaknesses
- Background hiss is audible at idle and at very low volumes.
- The volume crown is imprecise and easy to overshoot.
- The glossy housing is a fingerprint magnet.
- No Bluetooth Multipoint, so it cannot hold two source devices at once.
- Bluetooth latency is noticeable for fast-paced gaming; USB-C wired is better.
- The Divoom app shows advertisements for other Divoom products.

A desk speaker, not a party speaker
The 5 W output and small driver put this in near-field territory. A hands-on review measured about 90 dB SPL at 1 meter and found a balanced profile with clean mids up to roughly 75% volume, which is fine for a bedroom or a desk but not for a large room. Divoom’s own comparison says it is not built for large outdoor parties. If sound is the priority, a dedicated Bluetooth speaker at the same price will play louder and deeper; the reason to choose the Tiivoo-2 is the screen and the retro look sitting next to it.
Display and app features
The pixel-art screen is the standout: it syncs personal photos from your phone, scrolls lyrics, shows 80+ clock faces and supports custom pixel art. There are 15+ built-in retro games, 12 white-noise sounds, 4 wake-up sounds and 12 ringtones, plus a Pomodoro timer. Full customization, photo sync and advanced features run through the Divoom app, and the community shares pixel-art designs inside it. The trade-offs live in the same app: it carries ads for other Divoom products, and its menus have occasional translation errors.
Battery, charging and upkeep
The claimed playback is 8 hours, but a hands-on review measured about 6.5 hours at 50–65% volume, and a full charge takes about 3.5 hours over USB-C. There is no Bluetooth Multipoint, so switching between a phone and a laptop means disconnecting one first. Nobody has published long-term reliability data or a failure rate for the Tiivoo-2, and there is no user-serviceable parts information, so treat it as a sealed gadget. Divoom’s warranty is 12 months, extended by 6 more for eligible quality-related defects on orders from divoom.com; orders from third-party platforms follow that platform’s own return and warranty policy.
Is it worth it?
The value is in the display and the bedside features, not the audio. Divoom.com lists the Tiivoo-2 at $85.99, down from a $99.99 regular price, and a hands-on review references an $89.00 price point; some third-party storefronts show promotional or regional pricing around $30.10–$36.00. At or below $85 it fills its niche well. Between $86 and $110 it still makes sense if you specifically want the photo album display and the retro aesthetic, but audio-first buyers should compare dedicated speakers. Above $110 it is hard to justify on sound alone. There are no recurring costs beyond the purchase, and a TF card up to 64 GB is optional.
Which model this is
This page covers the newer Tiivoo-2, not the older first-generation Tivoo: that earlier model had a 16x16 LED matrix, 6 W output, a 2500 mAh battery, 380 g weight and 100x83x83 mm dimensions, all different from this one. The Tiivoo-2 comes in pink, green, black and yellow/cream. The US Amazon listing for it is ASIN B0F4KDKGRD.
