eufy X10 Pro Omni: problems, parts and running costs
Checked: 2026-10-05
Summary
What goes wrong most often is not the vacuum but the electronics and the dock: Wi-Fi dropouts that never re-pair, station water-level and pump errors, brush-drive and brush-guard faults, and mop pads that go dry about ten minutes into a run. Running cost is dominated by proprietary dust bags at roughly six bags a year in a pet-free home and closer to eight with one pet, while filters, brushes, mop pads and cleaning solution are named as wear items with no published prices and no source publishes an electricity draw, so only the bag line can be priced. The robot is worth buying as a bundle: the same machine was $459.99 as a Walmart bundle with six dust bags in September 2026 and $799.99 standalone at Best Buy in the same month, and at the standalone figure the money is better spent on a newer model. [1] [19] [20]
Common problems and fixes
- Wi-Fi dropouts and failed re-pairing — the most repeated owner complaint, spread over several threads; some owners get the robot back online by resetting the robot or the router, others never do. Re-pairing usually follows a firmware push, and eufy’s US warranty policy lists functional impacts from software and app updates as not covered, so a reconnect loop after an update has no warranty route. [13] [14]
- Station water-level and pump errors — owners repeatedly report the station throwing water-level or cleaning-tray errors, some of them on units past the warranty term. eufy publishes a self-service article for the “Water Level of the Station’s Cleaning Tray is Abnormal” error and that is the first thing to try; dock pump and electronics faults can require proprietary assemblies and a support call. [3] [15]
- Brush-drive and brush-guard failures — repair threads describe brush-drive screw and magnetic-seat failures on this flagship. eufy’s own support article for the model tells owners to rinse the roller-brush comb teeth under running water and replace the brush guard’s rubber strip when it is damaged, which covers the cheap end of the same fault, and owners have documented doing that work themselves. [12] [16]
- Hair wraps despite the Pro-Detangle comb — RTINGS observed substantial tangling and says the brushroll gets tangled on pet hair very easily. eufy’s own FAQ tells pet owners to set self-emptying to every 15 minutes and use Turbo or Max, which is an admission that hair still reaches the bag; cut it out of the brush and its ends every few runs. [3] [6]
- Mop pads go dry mid-job — the most concrete functional defect owners describe: pads start dry about 10 minutes into a run even with the maximum water setting selected in the app, while pre-wet pads leaving the dock perform well. Test it in the first week, because continuous flow is what the pad design depends on and a unit that fails it is cheap to return. [18]
- Weak suction from a clogged filter and brush — eufy’s own troubleshooting article for this model leads with a blocked filter, a dirty dustbin and debris packed into the roller-brush comb teeth. Wash the filter and let it dry completely before refitting; eufy says to replace the filter after more than six months if washing has not restored suction. [12]
- Firmware and app regressions — one owner says the robot was good until a software update left it pretty much unusable, and a 2026 thread blames updates for changed navigation and behaviour. The Independent had to delete the map and start over to fix station-finding problems. No version or date is given for the regressions, so treat them as signals rather than a reproducible trigger. [9] [13] [17]
- Stuck on thresholds, door stops and rug edges — RTINGS measured a maximum threshold height of 1.9 cm and cleared none in testing, TechRadar saw inconsistent behaviour around 2 cm lips, and owners report it catching on door stoppers and metal-framed furniture. Two related traps: 12 mm of mop lift still leaves damp pads touching thick rugs, and one tester had the robot refuse a fluffy bath mat on every run because it read it as laundry. [6] [7] [11] [18]
Parts and consumables
- Station dust bag — the main consumable. The bag is advertised as 2.5 L and RTINGS measured 2.35 L. Six bags add about $29 to the base bundle at the eufy US store in September 2026, and eufy states one bag lasts about two months: 60 days for a three-person household with no pets, 45 days with one pet, 30 days with two. [1] [4] [6]
- High-efficiency filter — eufy claims it traps particles down to 0.3 µm, which covers dust, pollen, mold and bacteria. Wash it when suction drops, dry it fully before refitting, and replace it after more than six months if washing has not helped. No cost is published. [1] [12]
- Side brush, roller brush and brush-guard rubber strip — eufy’s support article lists replacing the side brush when its bristles are severely worn and the guard’s rubber strip when it is damaged. No part numbers or costs appear in the sources. [12]
- Mop pads — two ship in the box by RTINGS’s count, and the station washes and dries them with 45 °C air. No cost and no replacement interval are published. [1] [6]
- Floor cleaning solution — there is no automatic detergent dosing, so solution goes in by hand. eufy sells it in bundles, two bottles at a time, and no per-bottle cost is published. [1] [3]
- Battery — eufy publishes do-it-yourself replacement guidance. Runtime is 173 minutes vacuum-only and 136 minutes vacuuming and mopping in Standard mode; no battery cost or capacity figure is published. [1] [3]
- Official replacement-parts kit — sold by eufy and bundled by Target. eufy’s own bundles add the kit to a $799.99 base at $943.98, and the kit plus cleaning solution at $968.96, while the Target bundle pairing the robot with the official kit was $479.99 in September 2026; no individual part cost is broken out anywhere. [3] [21]
- Accessories subscription — eufy offers quarterly and half-year accessory plans for this exact model, the half-year one flagged for pet owners only. Plan costs are not published in the sources. [3]
Yearly running cost
Only the bag line can be priced from these sources.
- Dust bags — six bags are about $29 at the eufy US store in September 2026. At eufy’s stated two-month interval that is about six bags, or close to $29, for a three-person household with no pets; at the 45-day interval eufy gives for one pet you need closer to eight bags, so somewhat more than that.
- Filters — eufy’s guidance points to replacing one after more than six months of use, so about two a year, with no cost published.
- Brushes, guard strip, mop pads and cleaning solution — all named as wear items; nothing is published for their cost or interval. [12]
- Electricity — not computable. No source publishes a power draw for the robot or the station; the 75 dB self-empty burst WIRED measured and the 73.2 dBA peak RTINGS measured are noise figures, not energy. [6] [8]
- Subscriptions — the optional eufy accessories subscription and the Plus membership are both unpriced in the sources. Plus adds six months, and eufy’s warranty table does not itemize separate cover for the All-in-One Station, so do not read the membership bonus as the robot’s warranty term. [3] [13]
- Out-of-warranty repair — eufy offers paid repair for RoboVac units past the 12-month RoboVac warranty, at costs available only on request. [13]
When it is a good buy
September 2026 store prices:
- $459.99 — Walmart, Anker-direct bundle with six dust bags. [20] At this level the dock, the 12 mm mop lift and camera obstacle avoidance make sense for a mostly hard-floor home.
- $470 — Target, Anker bundle with six dust bags. [21]
- $479.99 — Target, bundle with the official replacement-parts kit. [21]
- $799.99 — Best Buy, standalone black T2351111; [19] the same figure as eufy’s own US list for the dark SKU in October 2026. [2] Weak here.
- $899.99 — eufy US for the White T2351121 and for the standalone US product page. [3] Not defensible in 2026.
- Outside the US — €799 on eufy’s Ireland page, and £699 from eufy.com plus £599 from Ao.com in The Independent’s coverage, all read in October 2026. [9] [10]
Where a different machine is the better buy:
- eufy Omni S1 Pro — the pick if you want the newer platform: it has a rolling mop and active IR stereo vision, and eufy’s own comparison blog credits it with 3D multi-floor mapping that the X10 Pro Omni is not credited with. [5]
- eufy Omni E25 — the pick if automatic detergent dosing matters, since its HydroJet station dispenses solution itself instead of leaving it to you. [10]
- Any plain vacuum-only robot — WIRED’s framing was that comparable robots with a similar feature set ran around $1,400 while a $700 robot vacuum without a mop was its own best pick, which is the argument for skipping a dock you will not use. [8]
- A newer robot, if carpet and pet hair dominate the house — RTINGS’ updated bench found weak fine-debris, carpet and pet-hair pickup, pathing misses and poor dried-stain removal, while TechRadar’s real-home test found strong vacuuming and excellent mopping. The disagreement between them is real and does not average out; Mashable measured about 90 % dry-debris pickup on hardwood and about 80 % hair and rice from a medium-pile rug, which is the hard-floor case in numbers. Read the harsher carpet result first if that is your home. [6] [7] [11]
