Summary
A 26.4-quart countertop oven with French doors, graphene heating and a convection air-fry fan, built for households that roast, bake and toast in batches. Check your counter clearance before you buy: Midea requires 30 cm above and 10 cm around the sides and back.
Strengths
- The measured 18.1 qt usable chamber fits a 12-inch pizza and spreads fries in one layer better than a small basket fryer.
- RTINGS scored air frying 7.5/10: 82.1% of fries came out crispy, 17.9% undercooked, 0% overcooked.
- Temperature held within 12°F of target at 400°F, recovering in 2:42 after food was added.
- Separate toast, pizza, air-fry, bake and broil modes cover most daily cooking without a full-size oven.
- French doors swing outward instead of dropping across the counter, making hot-tray access less awkward.
- Midea publishes the cavity as PFAS-free enamel rather than hiding behind vague “stainless steel” marketing.
Weaknesses
- The 2,450 RPM fan maxes out slower than powerful basket designs, so moist foods like mushrooms and chicken drumsticks brown less crisply.
- Preheating takes 4:11 to reach 400°F (RTINGS scored preheat 4.7/10); the manual itself says to wait for preheat before cooking.
- The oven plus its mandatory clearance eats serious counter space: roughly 17 by 16.4 inches with 30 cm above.
- The mesh air-fry basket is harder to wash than the smooth enamel cavity, and the manual does not say it is dishwasher-safe.
- No exact-model replacement parts are confirmed for sale: tray, rack, basket and crumb tray lack verified US part numbers and prices.
- A cooling fan may keep running after the oven appears off, and steam from moist foods can drip onto the counter.

Capacity, preheat and the graphene claim
RTINGS measured 18.1 qt of usable cooking chamber against the advertised 26.4 qt, a gap that comes from different measurement methods rather than false marketing. The chamber still fits a 12-inch pizza, and the 104.4 sq in air-fry basket spreads frozen snacks in a single layer.
Midea’s “graphene heating” has a narrow UL verification: a 900 W graphene broil element was up to 10% more energy efficient than a 900 W conventional element in a defined test. That does not mean 10% lower household energy bills, and it does not change the 4:11 preheat time RTINGS measured. The UL verification window ran July 17, 2024 to July 16, 2026.
Cooking performance
RTINGS gave the oven a 9.1/10 size score and found mostly even results: 82.1% of fries crispy, 0% overcooked. Temperature variation stayed around 12°F at 400°F, with 2:42 recovery after loading food. The air-fry fan peaks at 2,450 RPM, which is slower than many basket air fryers; moist foods like mushrooms and drumsticks came out less crispy than in faster-fan competitors. Avoid overcrowding the mesh tray, and expect longer times for wet ingredients.
Kitcheniz’s hands-on tester found the tray access useful and the cavity easy to wipe, but did not publish calibrated temperature data.
Running costs and parts
There are no scheduled filter replacements or subscription fees. The only routine cost is hand-washing the accessories and wiping the cooled interior. An illustrative electricity scenario — 1,750 W, 30 minutes per session, three times a week, at $0.20/kWh — comes to about $27.30 per year, though actual use will differ since the controller cycles the elements.
Replacement parts are the weak spot. None of the four included accessories (enamel tray, rack, mesh basket, crumb tray) has a confirmed US part number or live OEM price. Midea’s authorized parts channel exists, but exact-match numbers and stock could not be independently verified. Replace parts only on damage or loss, not on a schedule.
Nobody has published a failure rate for this exact model, so treat the absence of reports as a lack of data rather than a sign of reliability.
Which model this is
This page covers the Midea Flexify Pro MET26C4AST, UPC 840296519240. The MET26C4AST-C1 has a black-enamel interior and the MET26C4AST-S1 has sapphire-blue enamel; the older MET26C3AST Flexify is a different, non-Pro oven. Do not transfer prices, part compatibility or reviews between these variants without checking the exact model number.
Is it worth it?
At $130 or less for the correct MET26C4AST, it is a compelling value for a family-sized multifunction oven. Between $130 and $170 it can be rational if the roomy oven is needed and replacement accessories are obtainable. Over $180, compare a smaller, quicker basket fryer such as the COSORI TurboBlaze ($89.99 sale / $119.99 regular, COSORI US, October 2026) if fries and nuggets dominate, or Midea’s own non-Pro MET26C3AST ($169.99, Midea US, October 2026) if baking matters. A related Costco -C1 variant was $129.99 delivered (Slickdeals, August 31, 2026), but that is a different SKU.
