Summary
A dual-brew 12-cup drip coffee maker that takes ground coffee and pods on one machine, with an integrated frother — built for a household that wants both a full carafe and single-serve convenience. No independent lab has measured this exact model, so check the brew sizes against your cups before you buy.
Strengths
- Brews both ground coffee and pods on one machine, so one appliance covers the full carafe and the single cup.
- Nine grounds brew sizes run from an 8 oz Sm Cup to a 55 oz Full Carafe.
- Four brew styles cover Classic, Rich, Over Ice and a Specialty mode.
- The integrated frother cuts a separate milk frother off the counter, though it will not heat milk.
- The 60 oz reservoir and 12-cup glass carafe cover a full pot before work.
Weaknesses
- The 1-year warranty treats the brew basket, permanent filter, frother whisk, carafe, water reservoir and lid, Smart Scoop, sliding lid and pod adapter as normal wear and tear, which it does not cover.
- The integrated frother does not heat milk.
- Specialty brew always yields about 4 oz, whatever size you select.
- Dimensions and weight are not listed in the manual, so plan your counter space before ordering.
- No independent instrumented test of the exact CFP301 exists from established test outlets; Wirecutter, Tom’s Guide and CNET tested other Ninja machines.
- No owner threads could be read during research, so long-term reliability and common failure modes are undocumented.

Brew styles and sizes
Classic is the everyday brew. Rich uses slightly less water and yields slightly less brewed coffee than Classic. Over Ice makes a concentrated brew into a vessel filled with ice, and some ice melting during the cycle is normal. Specialty always yields about 4 oz, no matter the size you pick. The brewing cycle also pauses briefly before resuming so the water can saturate the grounds evenly.
The grounds side offers nine sizes, from an 8 oz Sm Cup and a 10 oz Cup up through travel mugs to a 55 oz Full Carafe. The pod side uses the included Ninja Pod Adapter and covers 6, 8, 10 and 12 oz. Beyond K-Cup, the manual does not document other pod brands.
Warranty, parts and running costs
The warranty runs one year from the date of purchase. It excludes normal wear and tear of the wearable parts: brew basket, permanent filter, frother whisk, carafe, brew-through lid, water reservoir and lid, Ninja Smart Scoop, sliding lid and pod adapter. The manual lists replacement parts, and Ninja sells parts for some coffee makers, though CFP301-specific availability was not verified. Descaling is documented in the manual, so the standing costs are coffee, pods and descaling solution. Above 5,000 ft, run the calibration brew.
Testing and owner feedback
No independent instrumented test of the exact CFP301 was found from RTINGS, Wirecutter, Tom’s Guide, CNET, PCMag or specialist coffee sites. Wirecutter’s 2026 guide recommends the Ninja CE251 as its budget pick, and CNET has tested the DualBrew XL, but those are different machines and their results should not be carried over to this one. Reddit was inaccessible during research, so no owner discussion threads could be read. Recurring praise, complaints and failure modes for this model are undocumented, and nobody has published a reliability record — treat brew quality and long-term durability as unverified.
Is it worth it?
The value case rests on the dual-brew design: nine grounds sizes and four pod sizes share one machine, with a frother built in. A household that brews both a full carafe and single cups gets two appliances in one footprint. A household that brews only one way leaves half the machine idle. With no independent measurements and no owner track record, buy for the feature set and the spec sheet, not for tested performance.
Which model this is
This page covers the Ninja CFP301 from the DualBrew PRO CFP300 series, which also includes the CFP300 and CFP305 under one owner’s manual. The CFP305 differs only in using 1500W instead of 1550W. The US Amazon listing for the CFP301 is ASIN B08QZSN97Z. Do not confuse it with the Ninja CE251 or the DualBrew XL (CFP101), the models the major guides have tested.
