  • The handle is unusually thick and may be uncomfortable for some users.
  • No accessories come in the box — no whisk, chopper or beaker.
  • The 300W motor is not designed for crushing ice or kneading dough.

Blending performance

GearLab’s 2024 test gave the HS560 a 68/100 score, ranking it 4th of 9 immersion blenders. They found it blends well for the price but leaves a few unblended blueberries and creates moderate suction. The speed toggle works without stopping, which testers appreciated. The 300W motor handles the manual’s stated tasks — smoothies, pureed soups, marinades, sauces, dips, mayonnaise and baby food — but it is not designed for crushing ice, kneading dough or blending frozen fruit without liquid.

Cleaning and maintenance

The manual says to unplug before cleaning, detach the shaft before washing, and never immerse the motor body, cord or plug in water. The stainless steel shaft is the only part that goes into the bowl. Home Depot reviews mention easy cleaning. No proprietary consumables are required.

Parts, repairs and running costs

There are no recurring costs — no pods, filters or subscriptions. OVENTE sells replacement stainless steel shafts for the HS600 and HS580 series at $14.99 each, but no HS560-specific replacement shaft appears on the current accessories page. Replacement accessories such as a 24oz beaker or whisk attachment run $12.99 to $14.99 where compatible. The warranty covers one year from date of purchase, covering defects in workmanship and materials; abuse, misuse, commercial use and normal wear are excluded. No long-term reliability data exists for this model.

Is it worth it?

At $14.99 from Home Depot, the HS560 does what it promises for light occasional use. Walmart lists the red model at $24.98, which is harder to recommend when alternatives with more accessories and power become available. GearLab’s 2024 review showed a $27 list price, where it competes against models with far more accessories and better blending performance. If you need a whisk, chopper or beaker, budget for accessories or spend more on a model that includes them.
