Summary
A budget 75% mechanical keyboard with tri-mode wireless, a gasket mount, hot-swap sockets and a control knob. Check the battery spec before you buy: Redragon’s own pages disagree on whether it is 4000 mAh or 3000 mAh.
Strengths
- Tri-mode wireless, gasket mount, hot-swap and a control knob at a budget price.
- Tom’s Guide called it one of the best mechanical keyboards around for gamers on a budget.
- Linear Outemu Red switches and RGB backlighting work for both gaming and typing.
- Owners say the sound dampening beats the K599 Demios.
- Hot-swap sockets take 3-pin and 5-pin switches, so switches swap without soldering.
- The shortcut set covers volume, media and lighting from the keyboard.
Weaknesses
- Tom’s Guide reports compromises on build quality, with an ABS plastic case.
- Tom’s Guide lists it as noisy, despite the 5-layer dampening marketing.
- Tom’s Guide also flags some quality control issues; no failure rate is published.
- The battery capacity conflict (4000 vs 3000 mAh) is unresolved between sources.
- Programming requires a cable, so wireless use is limited to the saved profile.
- Warranty terms for the K673 PRO itself are not confirmed from primary sources.

Noise and build
The 5-layer gasket mount is meant to quiet the case, but Tom’s Guide still called the K673 PRO noisy. That likely refers to the switch sound rather than case reverberation, and the same review praised the Linear Outemu Red switches as responsive. The dampening drew positive owner feedback: one r/mkindia owner of 7 days said it sounds better than a K599 Demios and has better sound dampening.
The tradeoff is the case. Tom’s Guide says the low price brings compromises on build quality and lists quality control issues as a reason to avoid. Nobody has published a failure rate, so treat that as a known risk rather than a measured defect.
Is it worth it?
At $50 or less the K673 PRO is strong value: tri-mode wireless, gasket mount, hot-swap, PBT keycaps and a control knob all land at a budget price. Tom’s Guide called it one of the best mechanical keyboards around for gamers on a budget, reporting the blue colorway at $49.99 at Newegg and Walmart and $64.99 at Best Buy, and the red colorway at $64.99 at Best Buy (2024-10-24). Redragon’s own K673 collection lists the UCAL K673 PRO at $64.99 and the manufacturer review says the price often drops to about $50 in sales.
From $51 to $65 it is still good value, though the build-quality compromises matter more. Above $65 the case for it weakens against other budget mechanical keyboards, especially where build quality or warranty terms count. The main things it brings together are tri-mode wireless, gasket mount, hot-swap and the control knob under $70; the main tradeoffs are the ABS case, potential quality control issues and switch noise.
Which model this is
