Summary

A mid-range robot vacuum and mop with a dock that self-empties, washes its mop pads in hot water and dries them. Think twice if you have shedding pets on carpet: independent testing measured weak carpet hair pickup and above-average hair tangling.

Strengths

  • Mopping is the best Vacuum Wars has measured for any Roborock model.
  • The heated dock, at 167°F wash and 113°F dry, is the substantive upgrade over the earlier Qrevo S.
  • Above-average navigation efficiency and above-average coverage per charge.
  • Mop pads lift 10 mm over carpet, so one run can vacuum rugs and mop hard floors.
  • The app handles per-room modes, scheduling, automatic map updates and maintenance notifications well.
  • LiDAR mapping, Matter support and a 240-minute rated runtime.

Weaknesses

  • Weak on carpet hair: measured 43% pickup of flattened pet hair against an 82% category average.
  • Above-average hair tangling: 62% of 7-inch hair wrapped the brush against a 26% average.
  • Weak obstacle avoidance: 5 of 24 obstacles avoided against a 16 average.
  • The 330 mL onboard bin is smaller than the 377 mL category average.
  • Carpet deep cleaning is only average, well behind the Dreame L40s Ultra.
  • Mopping wets rather than scrubs, and large dried cereal was pushed around.

Mopping and the dock

The strength is mopping. Vacuum Wars bought and tested its own unit and scored it 39.4 on a combined mopping metric against a 31.1 category average and the Dreame L40s Ultra’s 38.5, the best mopping result it has recorded for any Roborock model. On dried-on stains it scored 149 against a 108 average, and on coffee-only stains 166 against a 94 average. The mechanism is the dock: mop-washing water heated to 167°F and 113°F warm-air drying, which Vacuum Wars identifies as the real upgrade over the earlier Qrevo S and its room-temperature water. The dual spinning pads run at 200 RPM and lift 10 mm when the robot crosses onto carpet, so a single run can vacuum rugs and mop hard floors without dragging wet pads across them.

Vacuuming and carpet

The vacuuming side is the weak half, and the numbers are blunt. Vacuum Wars measured 43% pickup of flattened 2.5-inch pet hair from carpet against an 82% category average, 62% of 7-inch hair wrapping onto the brush against a 26% average, and 81% carpet deep cleaning against a 78% average that still trails the Dreame L40s Ultra’s 92%. Obstacle avoidance was 5 of 24 obstacles against a 16 average, and the app’s structured-light Reactive Tech did not live up to the marketing. The 330 mL onboard bin is smaller than the 377 mL category average, so heavy-pet homes may fill it mid-cycle. A two-week household review tells a consistent story: it removed most daily debris but swept larger dried cereal in circles rather than picking it up.

Navigation is LiDAR-based and efficient, with 0.86 m²/min measured against a 0.71 average, and coverage per charge of an estimated 1,495 sq ft against 1,170. The app was praised for per-room modes, scheduling, automatic map updates and maintenance notifications, and it works with Matter, Alexa, Google Home and Siri. Noise is the trade-off: a phone decibel meter measured 70 dB while emptying the dock, 64 dB vacuuming, 52 dB mopping and 48 dB returning to base, with the empty cycle loud enough to drown out a television. Owners report the same, which is why scheduling it for empty-house hours helps.

Ownership, maintenance and warranty

Both 4 L water tanks need attention every few days, signalled by a dock light and an app notification, and the dust bag changes about every 65 days with one pre-installed. Roborock US supplies a 1-year limited warranty with an optional extended plan, free shipping, returns within 30 days and 30-day price protection, plus 24-hour support. Replacement dust bags, mop cloths, washable filters and main brushes are sold as accessories.

Two constraints are worth planning around rather than discovering. The dock needs a permanent spot with 0.4 m width and 1.2 m depth of clearance, and the body is bulky enough, even at 3.8 in tall, to miss floor beside sofas and behind kitchen chairs. Owners also report that long-pile shag and fringed rugs can stall or tangle the robot, so they set those as no-go zones.

Which model this is

This page covers the Roborock Qrevo S Pro, sold in black and white. Do not merge it with the Qrevo S it refreshes, the separate Qrevo S Pro SE listing, the lower-spec QV 35A, or the higher-suction Qrevo and Saros models. The US Amazon listing for this model is ASIN B0GGRSMXKN. The 18,500 Pa figure is a manufacturer rating, not a measured result: the reviewers tested pickup, not airflow at the nozzle.
