Summary

An 11-inch Android tablet with a 90Hz LCD, four speakers and a microSD slot, sold as the base 4GB/64GB Wi-Fi Graphite model. Check the RAM before buying: owners report lag on the 4GB version, charging takes about three hours from flat, and there is no active S Pen support.

Strengths

  • The 90Hz 11-inch screen is pleasant for scrolling and video at this price.
  • Notebookcheck and Tech Advisor both praised the four-speaker audio.
  • Measured battery life suits casual viewing, including 13h 20m of video in one lab.
  • The mostly aluminum case is well built and about 6.9mm thin.
  • A 3.5mm jack and expandable microSD storage are still on board.
  • One lab sample showed no PWM flicker, which may suit flicker-sensitive users.

Weaknesses

  • 4GB RAM shows in heavy use; owners report lag and slow app navigation.
  • Some owners report ghost touches or unresponsive screen sections.
  • Charging takes about three hours from flat and no adapter is in the box.
  • The 64GB model fills quickly and microSD does not add internal app storage.
  • No fingerprint reader, no active S Pen and no USB-C monitor output.
  • Cameras are functional in good light and poor in low light.

Which model this is

This page covers the US Galaxy Tab A9+ 11-inch Wi-Fi in Graphite, configuration 4GB/64GB, model SM-X210NZAAXAR. It is not the smaller Galaxy Tab A9 (SM-X110), not the 8GB/128GB A9+, and not the cellular SM-X216 or SM-X218. Samsung’s update log records Android 16 builds for the SM-X210 dated July and September 2026, but availability depends on region and firmware.

Display, sound and performance

The 11-inch TFT LCD runs 1920 x 1200 at up to 90Hz, and Notebookcheck measured about 460 nits average and about 1409:1 contrast, with no PWM flicker on its sample. It is not OLED, and the white balance is blue-shifted with limited calibration options. The four Dolby Atmos speakers drew praise from Android Authority and Tech Advisor. Performance is where the base model shows its limits: a January 2025 owner described severe lag and delayed app navigation on the 4GB/64GB version, and a January 2026 thread reported similar slowness, with one participant contrasting a smoother 8GB version. Owners also report ghost touches or unresponsive screen sections in threads from 2024 through 2026; clearing the system cache helped one owner temporarily, while a factory reset did not fix another after an update. Nobody has published a failure rate, so treat these as individual experiences rather than a defect rate.

Battery, charging and updates

Notebookcheck measured 15h 20m of Wi-Fi browsing, 13h 20m of looped video and 4h 03m at maximum load; Tech Advisor recorded 8h 32m on a different benchmark, and the protocols are not directly comparable. A full charge from empty took 2h 58m with a third-party 20W adapter, and no power adapter is included, only a USB-C cable. The tablet launched on Android 13, and Samsung’s SM-X210 log shows Android 16 builds dated July and September 2026. On the software side, a March 2026 Samsung US community report described a tablet that went unresponsive after updating to One UI 8, and Samsung advised charge, restart, Safe Mode or service; that is a single case, not a published failure percentage.

Accessories, repairs and running costs

There are no routine consumables. Samsung US listed the Book Cover EF-BX210TBEGUJ at $49.99 but showed it out of stock, and the 15W charger EP-T1510XBEGUS at $19.00 (regular $19.99); a charger is not in the box. Best Buy listed a SanDisk Ultra 256GB microSDXC at $55.99 as optional storage. Owners report mixed support: one 2024 touch-issue poster was offered a trade-in rather than a refund after the return window and cited a $110 repair quote on a $180 tablet, and a 2026 poster said a factory reset did not cure ghost touches. There is no verified official US figure for a battery, display or USB-C repair on this variant. Electricity is minor, about $3 a year in an assumption-based estimate using a 7,040mAh cell, roughly 75-80% efficiency and $0.20/kWh; the Wi-Fi model has no data plan.

Is it worth it?

October 2026 US listings put the exact US SKU at Best Buy $197.99 on clearance against a $219.99 comparison and Target at $219.99; the same 4/64 Wi-Fi model in Navy was advertised by Walmart for $149.00, so color and channel matter. Buy this 4GB/64GB model at $150 or less new from a credible seller. At $151-$179 it is conditional: only if the Samsung ecosystem and headphone jack matter and you accept the 4GB RAM. At $190 or more it is a poor buy next to a Galaxy Tab A11+ 128GB at $219 from Walmart or a Lenovo Idea Tab 128GB at $219.95 at Best Buy with a sharper 2560x1600 display. If you need handwriting, the S Pen-equipped Galaxy Tab S10 Lite is around $399.99.
