Summary
A premium mesh office chair built around Sihoo’s Anti-Gravity Mechanism — aerospace-grade glass fiber plates instead of springs — with dual dynamic lumbar support and 6D armrests. Check the armrests before you buy: they move freely in every direction and have no lock.
Strengths
- The anti-gravity recline feels smooth and weightless, without coil springs.
- Dual dynamic lumbar support cradles the lower back and helps with back pain.
- The Italian velvet and DuPont TPEE mesh breathes well and stays cool.
- The aluminum alloy frame and metal base feel solid and premium.
- Seat depth, height, armrests and lumbar support adjust widely.
- BIFMA and SGS certification, a class 4 gas lift and PU casters.
Weaknesses
- Armrests are the consistent weak point: they move too easily and never lock.
- Recline has only three positions and no lock between them.
- The armrests tilt with the backrest, so they break alignment with a desk when you lean back.
- Taller users find the seat narrow and short, and the backrest too low.
- One owner reports the gas lift is hard to service because it sits inside the frame.
- Some owners find the lumbar pad too aggressive and needing re-tuning every two weeks.

The anti-gravity recline and lumbar support
The S300’s signature part is the Anti-Gravity Mechanism: pairs of glass fiber elastic plates that flex under your weight for a recline that feels weightless. It is smooth and effortless, and the dual dynamic lumbar pads cradle the lower back — owners with back pain and scoliosis single it out. The catch is adjustment. Recline stops at three fixed positions (100°, 110° and 130°), with no way to lock an in-between angle, and the armrests tilt upward as you recline, so they stop lining up with your desk. Some owners also find the lumbar pad too aggressive, one saying it needs re-tuning about every two weeks; the lumbar does not travel with the backrest height, so taller users can find it sitting too low.
Armrests and fit
Every review and owner thread found the same thing: the 6D armrests, for all their range, have no locking mechanism. They shift when you lean, type or change posture. One owner rates the chair poorly and says they would not recommend it to anyone who needs good armrests. Fit matters too. A 6'3" tester found the seat too narrow and short and the backrest not tall enough. The manufacturer rates the chair to 300 lb (136 kg), but one owner estimates a realistic limit nearer 110 kg and calls the frame a bit flimsy.
Build, warranty and repairs
The frame is a single-piece aluminum alloy, the gas lift is a class 4 SGS-certified unit, and the chair carries BIFMA and SGS certification. One owner reports the recline mechanism failing after five months; the same owner says the gas lift is unserviceable because it is enmeshed in the frame, which would mean sending the whole chair in for service. Sihoo sells replacement parts and publishes a guide for fixing hydraulics. Warranty paperwork is inconsistent: the US, UK and EU retail pages say three years, while the product page, the wholesale FAQ and reviews say five years for the Doro series. Treat five years as the S300 figure and confirm it when you buy.
Which model this is
This page covers the Doro S300, model S300, sold in black and white. The US Amazon variant is ASIN B0CPDJ5XP9. Don’t confuse it with the Doro C300, C300 Pro, S100 or C500, which share some features but differ in mechanism, armrests and price tier.
Price and value
Pricing swings widely by retailer and sale. Sihoo’s US store listed the chair at $599.99 on sale in October 2026, against a $999.99 list price, and Newegg listed it at $799.99. One owner reported buying it at $430 on a local online marketplace, and another was weighing it at $450. In Australia it ran $949–$950 AUD, in Malaysia RM2,999, and in the EU €539.99 on sale from €569.99. Below $500 it is strong value; $500–$650 is good value; $650–$800 is fair; and at $800–$1000 the armrest and recline limits are hard to justify. The anti-gravity recline and dual lumbar support are the features that set it apart at this price.
