Summary

The Anker soundcore Space 2 Pro is a $199.99 over-ear wireless headphone built around Anker’s Thus AI chip for call clarity, aimed at people who take a lot of calls in noisy offices. No independent instrumented review of it exists yet three weeks after launch, so check whether the $129.99 Space 2 covers your needs before paying for the Pro.

Strengths

  • The 6-microphone call array with real-time voice separation is the Pro’s reason to exist, and owners praise it more than any other feature.
  • Comfort draws the most praise: at 262 g with protein-leather cushions, multiple owners call these among the most comfortable over-ears they have used.
  • A 5-minute charge returns 8 hours of playback, and owners say the quick top-ups make the battery easy to live with.
  • Adaptive ANC 3.0 is tuned for office mixed noise — voices, keyboards and HVAC — and one owner calls the noise canceling top tier.
  • LDAC hi-res on Android, Bluetooth 6.1 multipoint and a 3.5 mm AUX input cover most listening setups.
  • No subscription is required for core features, and the soundcore app is free.

Weaknesses

  • No independent instrumented review of the Space 2 Pro exists yet; it launched September 22, 2026 and only announcement coverage is available.
  • 30 hours with ANC on trails the Space 2’s 50 and the Space One Pro’s 40, and Anker publishes no test conditions for the Pro’s figures.
  • The default tuning is very bass-heavy, and several owners need EQ to tame it.
  • Transparency mode is underwhelming; one owner calls it hollow.
  • The soundcore app is effectively required for EQ, HearID and voice control, and owners complain about ads, bloat and account requirements; one owner reports app trouble with iOS 27.
  • The battery is not user-replaceable, no replacement-parts catalog exists, and there is no hard case in the box.

Calls and the Thus chip

The Space 2 Pro exists for the ANKER Thus chip, a compute-in-memory audio processor that debuted in the Liberty 5 Pro earbuds in May 2026 and arrived in over-ear form with this model. It drives a 6-microphone call array with real-time voice separation. Anker says the headphones hold a Guinness World Records title for call clarity in wireless over-ears; the record’s test methodology is not detailed on the product page.

Adaptive ANC 3.0 uses an 8-microphone omnidirectional array that processes 384K+ noise signals per second, tuned for office mixed noise: voices, keyboards, HVAC. On Anker’s own product page, call quality and the microphones draw the strongest owner praise. Those are owner opinions, not measurements — nobody has published an instrumented test of this model.

Battery, charging and parts

Anker rates the Space 2 Pro at 60 hours with ANC off and 30 hours with it on, plus 20 hours of talk time. The product page states no test conditions for those figures. The support page for the non-Pro Space 2 measures at 50% volume on an iPhone, so the Pro’s numbers may not be comparable. A 5-minute charge returns 8 hours of playback, and owners say battery life and quick top-ups meet expectations.

Against its own family the Pro is not the endurance pick: the Space 2 at $129.99 plays 50 hours with ANC on, and the older Space One Pro plays 40. If travel battery life matters more than call clarity, the cheaper model is the stronger value on paper.

The battery is not user-replaceable, and Anker publishes no replacement-parts catalog for the Pro; one owner on the product page wishes the battery were swappable, noting that German-brand rivals now offer it. Ear cushions are protein leather over slow-rebound memory foam. There is no hard case in the box — one owner review says so, and the “What’s in the Box” section did not render readable contents, so treat the exact box contents as unverified.

Sound, comfort and the app

The 35 mm dual-material driver — a PEN dome for highs over a fiber surround for bass — covers 40 Hz to 40 kHz. The default tuning is very bass-heavy, and HearID 5.0 in the soundcore app is the intended fix. Transparency mode draws the harshest criticism: underwhelming, and one owner calls it hollow.

Comfort is the most praised attribute on the product page: at 262 g, with cushions shaped using more than 2,000 real head profiles, multiple owners call these among the most comfortable over-ears they have used. Sound is described as detailed, lively and V-shaped, with strong bass.

The app is effectively required — EQ, HearID, voice control and the AI features live there — and it draws complaints about ads, bloat and account requirements, with one owner reporting problems on iOS 27. LDAC hi-res works on compatible Android devices only; iPhone users get AAC. The closest tested relative is the non-Pro Space 2, which RTINGS rates 8/10 and PCMag “Excellent”, but those results cover the shared platform, not the Pro’s Thus call system or its driver. On r/soundcore, owners of the non-Pro Space 2 recommend it over the Q45 and suggest LDAC on Android.

Is it worth it?

soundcore.com lists the Space 2 Pro at $199.99 in October 2026. At that price the case rests on call clarity and office ANC — two things no independent review has measured yet. The Verge and Engadget covered the launch with the spec sheet, not with tests.

For call-heavy work in an open office the price is defensible if Anker’s Guinness-validated claims hold up once independent tests appear. For travel or all-day battery life, the Space 2 at $129.99 does the same job for less money on paper. At $150 or less on discount the Pro becomes easier to recommend despite the thin test history; above $200 you are in Sony and Bose territory with deeper independent-test histories. Order by October 21, 2026 if the 24-month warranty matters — that is a launch-window promotion, and the standard warranty duration is not published.

Which model this is

This page covers the soundcore Space 2 Pro, model D1406, in Midnight Grey and Jet Black. Anker launched it on September 22, 2026 at $200.

The name “Soundcore 30H” matches no product in Soundcore’s US or UK catalogs — it appears to be an internal label referencing the 30-hour ANC-on playtime. The ASIN B0BTYCRJSS, which this research started from, resolves to the Soundcore P20i earbuds, a different and cheaper product. Don’t confuse the Pro with the Space 2 (model D1402) or the Space One Pro, which share the design language but not the Thus call system or the 35 mm driver.
