Summary
The Soundcore P31i is a budget true-wireless earbud with adaptive ANC rated to -52 dB, 11 mm titanium-coated drivers, LDAC Hi-Res Audio and IP55, sold direct by Soundcore for $49.99. The catch is that no independent lab has tested it yet, so the ANC and battery claims still rest on Soundcore’s own numbers.
Strengths
- ANC depth and driver size both step up from the P30i, which ran -42 dB and 10 mm drivers.
- LDAC Hi-Res support and Bluetooth 6.1 are unusual in a budget earbud.
- 10 hours per charge with ANC off, and a 10-minute top-up buys 3.5 hours.
- IP55 shrugs off sweat and rain.
- Six microphones and dual-device multipoint.
- Soundcore sells replacement earbuds and ear-tip kits for this model.
Weaknesses
- No independent lab test exists yet, so the -52 dB ANC and battery figures are manufacturer numbers.
- No wireless charging, unlike the P40i.
- The product page does not state a warranty length.
- The R60i NC branding and shared design with the P30i make marketplace listings easy to confuse.
- Too new for broad owner discussion; the only visible reviews sit on Soundcore’s own store.
- The real-world benefit of Bluetooth 6.1 over 5.4 has not been verified for this product.

ANC, drivers and the spec sheet
On paper the P31i is the biggest step the line has taken in a while. ANC goes from -42 dB on the P30i to -52 dB here, the driver grows from 10 mm to 11 mm, water resistance moves from IP54 to IP55, Bluetooth from 5.4 to 6.1, and the microphone count from 4 to 6. The number to treat with care is the -52 dB figure: it is Soundcore’s internal-lab maximum, not an independent measurement, and the claim that it is 3x stronger than the P30i is Soundcore’s own comparison.
No instrumented test from RTINGS, Wirecutter, Tom’s Guide, CNET or PCMag was available at the time of this check. That means the real ANC depth, sound signature and call quality have not been validated outside Soundcore’s own lab. If you buy on specs, buy knowing that.
Battery and charging
Soundcore rates playtime at 10 hours per charge and 50 hours with the case with ANC off, dropping to 8 hours and 40 hours with ANC on. All of those are internal lab numbers and the company says actual results vary with use. A 10-minute top-up is rated for 3.5 hours of listening. Charging is over USB-C; there is no wireless charging here, which the cheaper-adjacent P40i does offer.
Calls, app and multipoint
Six microphones with a noise-reduction algorithm handle calls, and the earbuds can hold two Bluetooth connections at once. AI translation is claimed for 100+ languages in real time. Firmware updates arrive through the Soundcore app, which is where you would go for EQ and the other app-side settings. Call quality in wind or noisy rooms has no independent test behind it.
Parts, warranty and running costs
Soundcore sells replacement earbuds and ear-tip kits for the P31i/R60i NC on its own site, so the parts you are most likely to lose or wear out are at least available. The product page advertises “Hassle-Free Warranty” and “Lifetime Customer Support” but does not state a warranty duration, so check the warranty and exchange page for the term that applies. Soundcore lists the earbuds at $49.99 direct.
Is it worth it?
At $49.99 direct, the P31i’s spec sheet — LDAC, -52 dB ANC, 11 mm drivers, IP55, Bluetooth 6.1 — is a lot for the money, and it clearly improves on the P30i across the board. The risk is the missing independent testing: there is no third-party data to confirm how close it gets to those numbers. If the price stays at $49.99 or drops, it is a reasonable budget pick for someone who wants the features and can accept the spec-sheet risk. If it climbs toward $70 or above, products with published test data become the safer call.
Which model this is
This page covers the Soundcore P31i, hardware model D1202Z11, which Soundcore also markets as the R60i NC; the product page, FAQ and parts pages use the two names interchangeably. It comes in Midnight Black, Pearl White, Light Blue and Rose Gold. The US listing is ASIN B0FNWCYLZN. Don’t confuse it with the P30i it replaces, the P40i, or the older P2 models.
