Summary

A 5.7 lb cordless stick vacuum built around a 450W brushless motor and an iLoop sensor that raises and lowers suction as it reads the dirt. It is best for carpet-dominant homes, so check your floors first: the standard bristle brush roll cannot be switched off, and it cleans bare floors poorly unless you step up to the Tango variant with its soft-roller head.

Strengths

  • Strong low-pile carpet pickup: TechGearLab measured 90% with its standard test.
  • iLoop raises suction automatically when it senses more dirt, and owners like it.
  • The battery detaches, so a spare or a replacement is possible.
  • The box includes a mini power brush, dusting brush, crevice tool and wall dock.
  • The Tineco app reports cleaning runs and filter life.
  • Light enough to carry around an apartment, and handheld mode reaches furniture.

Weaknesses

  • The bristle brush roll cannot be turned off, so it scatters debris across bare floors.
  • Only the Tango ships with the soft-roller head that hard floors need.
  • Top-heavy balance and a rigid head make long sessions tiring.
  • Max mode runs about 11 minutes, far short of the 40-minute claim.
  • Reviewers report squeaky wheels and a strong stream of air from the top vent.
  • Some long-term owners report battery degradation, and replacement batteries may dry up for older units.

Hard floors versus carpet

The S11 is tuned for carpet. Its 450W motor and stiff bristle roll pull 90% of low-pile debris in TechGearLab’s test and 1294 Pa of sealed suction, and the iLoop sensor lifts power when the dirt load rises. On bare floors the same bristles work against you: the head pushes crumbs forward instead of lifting them, and edge cleaning along a wall is weak. Consumer Reports notes there is no brush on/off switch, so you cannot switch the roll off for hard surfaces. If most of your home is hard floor, buy the Tango, which adds the LED Soft-Roller Power Brush; base-model owners have to buy that head separately.

Battery life, noise and upkeep

The 2,500 mAh battery is rated for up to 40 minutes, but that figure is Auto mode at low suction. TechGearLab measured 29 minutes in Low and 11 minutes in Max, and Vacuum Wars measured about 10.5 minutes in Max, so plan on a short burst of full power per charge. Charging takes 3–4 hours. Noise is quoted at 72 dBA, though TechGearLab measured 80 dBA at close range, which is loud for an apartment. Wash the pre-filter and HEPA filter as the manual describes, empty the bin after each use, and if you store the vacuum for months, leave the battery at least half charged and top it up every three months.

Parts and running costs

Tineco sells replacement parts for the S11 series directly: the tube assembly, wall dock, dustbin, charging adapter, HEPA filter and an accessories kit. There are no bags to buy. The battery is detachable, so a spare is practical for a large home. Expect to replace the HEPA filter and pre-filter over time, and watch battery availability if you keep the vacuum for years.

Is it worth it?

At $200 or less the S11 is strong value for carpet-heavy homes, thanks to its pickup, included tools and iLoop sensor. Between $200 and $275 it is fair, but confirm battery availability first. Above $275 the case weakens, because better-established rivals clean hard floors more reliably. List price was $300 in late 2024 (TechGearLab), and Consumer Reports tested it at $179 in 2020. The value lives in carpet performance per dollar, not in the 130W marketing number.

Which model this is

This page covers the Pure ONE S11 in Grey, the base model with the LED Multi-Tasker Power Brush; the Tango adds the LED Soft-Roller Power Brush and is otherwise the same vacuum. Tineco also lists Ultra, Pet, Dual and Spartan bundles, but they share the core hardware. The exact product this review is built from is ASIN B088FLFTD5. Do not confuse it with the S12, A11, A10 or FLOOR ONE lines.
