Summary
A budget over-ear headphone launched in September 2025 with a long feature list for its price: 55-hour battery with ANC on, 40mm drivers, Bluetooth 6.0, and a comfortable 257 g build. The one thing to check before buying is noise cancellation — independent tests measure it well below the category average, especially for treble.
Strengths
- Battery life is the standout: 55 h with ANC on and 90 h with ANC off, confirmed by multiple independent tests.
- Comfortable for long sessions at 257 g, with soft pleather ear cushions and metal headband sliders.
- Sound quality exceeds price expectations — TechGearLab says it rivals headphones costing three times or more.
- Feature breadth for the price: multipoint, wired USB audio with ANC, spatial audio and 32 EQ presets.
- Fast charging: 10 min gives up to 9 h of playback.
- Physical buttons preferred over touch controls by owners.
Weaknesses
- ANC is below average for the category: TechGearLab measured 21 dB average reduction, with treble cancellation especially weak at about 9.8 dB.
- Call quality is middling — adequate for quiet offices but struggles in noisy environments like subway platforms.
- No carrying case in the standard package, despite the travel-oriented design.
- The companion app is cluttered with ads, social media and shopping sections, and requires account creation.
- Bass-forward tuning can muddy the midrange; RecordingNow describes the stock sound as “muddy and underwater” at times.
- ANC does not work over 3.5mm analog wired connection — only USB-C.

Battery life and charging
TOZO claims 55 h with ANC on and 90 h with ANC off at 50% volume with AAC. RTINGS measured 44.3 h with ANC on, and RecordingNow confirmed both figures in testing. HiFi Oasis got about a week of use at 3–4 h per day with roughly 30% remaining. A full cable charge takes about 2 h over USB-C, and a 10 min fast charge gives up to 9 h. The battery is not user-replaceable and no parts availability has been published.
Noise cancellation and sound
The 45 dB ANC figure is a maximum specification, not typical real-world performance. TechGearLab measured 21 dB average reduction across frequencies — low 9.8 dB, mid 20.3 dB, high 33.8 dB — below the category average of 15.6, 22.1 and 35.8 dB. Treble cancellation is especially weak. RTINGS and HiFi Oasis agree: ANC handles low-frequency noise like trains and HVAC reasonably but struggles with keyboards, conversations and door slams. The adaptive mode has a slight pumping effect during rapid environmental changes.
Sound is bass-forward with a recessed midrange and smooth treble. TechGearLab says it suits EDM and hip-hop but not neutral-sound seekers. RecordingNow calls the stock tuning “muddy and underwater” at times and recommends using the 32 EQ presets. Wired 3.5mm playback improves detail and soundstage. Latency is low over both wired analog and wired USB.
Call quality, app and wired use
Call quality is adequate for quiet environments but degrades with background noise. HiFi Oasis notes digital processing artifacts, and TechGearLab says the microphones struggle on subway platforms. The exact microphone configuration is not clearly documented — TOZO claims Tri-Mic ENC, while reviewers describe dual-mic and 5-microphone setups.
The TOZO app offers deep customization but mixes useful features with ads, social media and shopping sections. Full features require account creation, and AI features like translation and meeting minutes require membership tiers. Changing EQ presets triggers an acoustic beep that cannot be switched off.
ANC and electronics do not work consistently over 3.5mm analog wired connection — only USB-C. The power button is multi-function, handling answer/hangup, play/pause and assistant invocation, which requires learning multiple click patterns.
Is it worth it?
At $50 or less the HT3 is a strong budget pick: 55 h battery, comfortable build, metal headband sliders and sound that competes with headphones costing significantly more. ANC is below average but acceptable for quiet environments. RecordingNow praises its value at under $50.
Between $51 and $70 it is still reasonable, but the 1More SonoFlow Pro offers noticeably better ANC for roughly $30 more. Above $70 the value weakens — buyers should look at established alternatives with stronger ANC, better call quality and less app clutter.
TOZO’s official store lists the HT3 at $39.99–$59.99 (2026-10). TechGearLab lists $56 (2026-07-04). RecordingNow notes a $49.99 retail price and a ~$34 market price (2026-08-04). AudioReviews.org lists $55.99 list and $39.99 street (2025-11-21). HiFi Oasis reports $50–80 depending on sales (2026-04-28).
